Help make TGD an amazing experience for everyone
We ask that you have attended TGD at least once before volunteering for Registration or Library. First time attendees can volunteer for Setup/Tear Down. We just want you to understand the TGD vibe before jumping into a forward facing position. Thanks!
You will need to register on the website. Once the volunteer roster is full (typically a week or two after we make the initial call for volunteers), we will send out one-time-codes that will allow you to register for free.
Your volunteer badge will be a different color from everyone else, identifying you as a helpful person who can answer attendee questions. The answer is almost always, "scan the QR code on your badge." But if not, the librarian can always ping Rick or Russ.
Registration desk volunteers assist in the check in process as well as help attendees get a lay of the land by answering the important questions of "what's the wifi password," "when/where do events start," and "how can I buy lunch?"
We need friendly people to run the game check in / out desk. Our library scanning system is straight forward. You will need to be able to explain the Play to Win rules to other attendees. Don't worry, someone will teach/refresh you, and there will be a printed copy at the desk and a poster in the PtW room.
We transport the library from its year round home to the event and back again. Moderate lifting is required. Once the library is setup, we punch out the Play to Win games.
